Abigail at 2 months

Two months just flew right by. It's incredible that the last two months of my pregnancy seemed to take forever, whereas the last two months with Abigail have absolutely flown by.

She is growing and changing with no two days being the same. I have gone through the troubles and heartache of waking every two hours of the day, learning to breastfeed, coping with the pains and adjustments my body went through at a rapid pace, and the joys of having a newborn baby in my life.

Abigail is now 8 weeks old and a very happy little girl. I love waking up in the morning, peering over her bassinet and seeing a smiling face looking back at me. I love hearing her coos and squawks, her sneeze attacks and even hiccups. There are so many rewards to motherhood, that it overshadows all of the hormonal moments where you think you can't go on any longer and feel like handing off your baby only to miss her when she is away for only a few minutes.

I want to dedicate the next few blog posts to a series that I'd like to call "Secrets from your Sister". I'd like to dive into things I wish people had told me about pregnancy, labour and raising a baby. These are things that I have either learned on my own or thought I was going through alone only to learn that others had experienced the same...or worse.

I hope you enjoy and can share your experiences as well. After all, we're not in this alone!

She's Here! - Abigail's Birth Story

Baby's Name: Abigail Lillian Joy
Due Date: September 10, 2009
Birth Date: September 7, 2009
Weight: 7lbs 3oz
Length: 19.5 inches

Birth Story:
On Sunday the 6th I was experiencing contractions on and off all day. By evening they started to get stronger and closer together. Around 7pm I called L&D and asked when I could come in. They said to wait until the contractions were 5 mins apart, 45 sec to 1 min long and were consistent for 2 hours. Unfortunately for me, mine never made it to 5 mins apart, and at 1am DH called in telling them they were 6 mins or 2-3 mins apart. They were also getting more painful for me to cope with and I was looking forward to some pain relief. They told us to come on in and off to the hospital we went.

While in triage I was told I was 3cm, which meant they would admit me, woo hoo! It felt like we were in there forever as the nurse filled out paper work and DH helped me through the contractions and tried to keep things light by making jokes. My mom arrived in the meantime, which finally started making things feel real. The RN then took us to our room to finish admitting me at 2:00am. I got my IV in (which hurt a lot) and then requested Demerol. I got it mixed with Gravol which immediately made me dopey and did not help the contractions at all.

I laboured with DH and my mom's help until about 6am where I couldn't take the pain anymore and asked for an epidural. The anesthetist came in pretty quickly and the overall procedure wasn't painful or as scary as I thought I could be. Within two contractions, the pain was gone and I was a happy, sane person again! On the third contraction, I felt my water break. The RN checked me and confirmed that it broke, but it was high up and that my forewater was still intact. She tried to break it with her finger, but it didn't work. She did tell me that I had progressed to 9.5cm though. We were so shocked that it happened so fast, but definitely weren't complaining.

The RN told us that the on-call DR was doing a c-section at 7am and that we would deliver after that. So DH and I got some sleep. Well, I slept until I felt pressure from the contractions where I thought that baby's head was going to fall out!

At just before 8am, the DR arrived and I began pushing. I began to tear internally and my contractions were still 6 mins apart, so I was given pitocin and was told to consider an episiotomy. I really didn't want to have either done, but both helped. On one contraction, the DR made the cut and the baby's head popped out! The cord was wrapped around her neck once and her body twice, so they didn't completely deliver her until she was free. I didn't know that she was tangled because I just wanted to know what gender she was. Then, at 8:55am they pulled her out and there was my baby GIRL, which they put on my belly.

DH cut the cord and went with her for all the measurements. She scored 9/9 on APGAR and was a lot smaller than any of us had thought. I spent a long while after her birth getting stitched up, but soon got to meet our little Abigail. We are so thrilled to have a daughter.

39 Week DA

I've progressed! My OB did another internal today. I had told him about the bloody show I've been having and he seemed encouraged by it. When he checked, he said that my cervix is open and that I am dilated 2cm. Woo hoo!

He told us that if we wanted, he could get things moving along next Tuesday. I was confused why he said Tuesday since my due date is next Thursday. It turns out that he is on-call at the L&D then and wanted to offer the induction so he would be around for the birth. Very nice of him, but I think at the moment we would prefer to let things naturally happen instead of going for an induction.

So I go back next Thursday, my due date, but have no idea when this LO will decide to show up. At 2cm, I'm hoping something gets started today and that the full moon gives it a hand!

38 week DA

I didn't post about my DA last week, but it was so uneventful that I didn't really have anything to share.

Today, DH expected a long wait, because usually we wait for an hour and have a 5 min visit which costs us a lot in patience and in parking fees. He was grumpy because he forgot his PSP in the car. He had told me yesterday that he was going to bring it in because of how long the wait was. Good thing he did!

When we arrived in the office, there was no patients. I was weighed almost immediately. I've gained 1 lb this week which puts me at a total of 36 pounds gained. My BP was 105/77 which I was told was excellent. Within minutes we were put into the examination room. I barely caught the nurse then tell me to uncover from the waist down. Now, DH vehemently said that he did not want to be in any appointments where I would get an internal, but now he was caught!

The OB checked baby's position, HB and then did the internal. In retrospect, DH said it wasn't bad because the OB wasn't looking when he checked (lol) he really likes this doctor. The OB said that my cervix is changing and is soft, but that's about it. It looks like this LO is in there for the long haul.

I go back in a week where I'm sure I'll get another internal. I can't believe that puts us in September already!

Paying Homage to My Poppy...

I just had to share this with everyone...*warning, may induce tears*

Today marks the 5th "anniversary" of the passing of my grandfather. He was a highly respected and loved man in my family. He loved having grandkids and passed two days before my older brother's wedding. At that time, two of my cousins, who are SILs were expecting their first babies. Now, 5 years later, my SIL and myself are also expecting our firsts.

My aunt, and my grandfather's only daughter, went to visit his grave site today. She just told me that she told him all about my baby (Baby Bee), my SILs baby and all the babies that have been born since he died. I couldn't help but burst into tears when she said this because I was only 20 when he passed and never got to see me get married or now become a mom.

I am so glad that my father reminds me of my grandfather. I can't wait to be able to put my baby in his arms and remember being held by my grandfather.

I'll stop blubbering now...I just wanted to share what my Aunt told me and to pay homage to my "Poppy". DH and I have decided that if we have a boy, we will name him Liam; a short form of my grandfather's name...

week 36 OB appointment

Here I am home again from another DA. The office was crazy busy today so I was expecting a short visit, but I have to say that I had one of the more satisfying appointments than I have had in weeks.

I have gained 3lbs in the past two weeks which puts me at 33 total pounds gained. My OB told me that I can use pregnancy as an excuse, lol. (as an aside, my SIL has only gained 18 lbs, which bummed me out a little cause she's a week ahead of me).

The RN had to do my BP twice because we were chatting the first time. She said the first one was too high so I tried to stay quiet the second time. It's good, but then again I'm not sure I know what "normal" is.

In the OB's office I was told that my GBS culture came back negative, so I am practically healthy as I can possibly be! He told us that we were right about the position of the baby because we both felt that the bum was nice and high and that s/he is to the right. The HB is also nice and strong. DH asked about the speed and the OB explained that it'll stay that fast, even after birth. During labor, we should expect it to be around the 140 range.

I then asked OB if there were any more tests. He said no, that the next test was labour (lol), but that he might send us for another u/s to check on the size and position of baby. I figure that it'll be nice to see baby one more time before the birth...that is unless I give birth before we can have the u/s!

So, all is well and we go again next week. Time is counting down and as my OB put it "we'll see each other each week and become a big happy family!"

34 week OB appointment

DH and I just got back from my 34 week appointment. As usual, the OB was in a rush so didn't get to spend much time with me.

I've gained another 4 pounds putting me at a total weight gain of 30 lbs. I was told that my last u/s was normal and was told again that my GD test came back normal.

It was then that he said to me that I was due for another test...the dreaded strep B swab. He asked me if it was ok if he did it today, to which I said yes. DH said he was leaving the room, because he didn't want to see it, lol. So I undressed from the waist down and the OB came back in just as I was sitting back down on the table. To my surprise, he only swabbed one location of the two that I expected (I'll let you use your imagination).

He checked the heartbeat for all of two seconds, declared that the HB was good and that he would see me again in two weeks. After my appt in two weeks, he'll start seeing me once a week. WOW time has flown!

So me and my little herculean baby (I swear baby is so strong now!) have a lot of OB appointments coming up. I'll be seeing my family doctor soon and I think he'll either become baby's Ped or refer me to one in the building.

I'm excited, there's only 6 weeks left!

31w 6d OB appointment

I just got back from my OB appointment. My regular DR is on vacation so I saw another one on the same floor. She is super nice and it was interesting to see how the two DR offices operate.

Usually I go in, drop off a urine sample, have the RN weigh me and take my BP and then I visit with my OB who only checks my chart and the baby's HB.

At this office, the RN (not sure if she really was one) weighed me on a different type of scale, which showed me at a 3 pound loss. She had me take my urine into the examination room with me as well! However, I liked the DR visit better with this woman. She did the urine test (was good), BP (very healthy) and told me that I had normal results on my GD test (yippe!). She then went on to measure my fundal height, which my other OB never did and checked the HB. She told me baby's HB is 154, which is the first time anyone has ever told me the heart rate. She palped my belly to feel baby's placement (which my other OB also does not do) and then asked if I had any questions. It was a satisfying visit!

I went back over to my regular OB's office to book my next appointment (34 weeks, btw) and told my favourite RN about the scale. She said she was told about it and then offered to weigh me. Instead of losing 3 pounds, I've gained 4, which puts me at a total of 26 pounds and perfectly normal.

So baby and I are very healthy and I really am looking forward to my next appointment! That is until he sends me for a Strep B test, I'm sure...

30 weeks and 6 days u/s

Today I had another u/s of our LO and it was amazing. Tomorrow I will be 31 weeks. It didn't start off so great because I was loosing my patience in the waiting room. We were there for over an hour and I saw some people go in before me that had arrived after me. But I am going to safely say that the wait was worth it.

The u/s tech allowed DH in the room for the whole thing, unlike last time. She was very nice about the questions we asked and showed us everything we asked to see. Baby is laying with it's spine to the left and legs waaaay up in my right rib cage. Head is down, which is great.
The most amazing part was that she spent some time showing us baby's face. Baby was blinking and even moved it's eyes, which was a weird thing to see in an u/s. He/she also was moving it's mouth in a sucking motion; I think baby has DH's lips, lol.

We were told that baby is 1.6kg or 3.6 lbs and has a big head!! Holy moly we're going to have a big baby!

We've gotten three more pictures to share and once I get them on the comp, I'll post for everyone to see. They are of the feet, which were crossed at the ankles, the face and a profile shot. I can't wait to meet this LO!

28 week DA and Glucose Test

So yesterday was my week 28 OB appointment and glucose test.

I arrived early and checked in. The RN told me to head to the lab to start the glucose test and come back to see the doctor. I did just that. DH was out getting breakfast (he works nights and woke up at 1pm; our appt was at 2) so I went to the lab and did the paperwork. They handed me a chilled bottle of orange drink and a small cup and was instructed to drink it as fast as I could. Now, I hear all the stories about how disgusting the drink is, so I was anticipating something syrupy or overly sweet. I have to admit, it tasted like Orange Crush and I had no problem drinking it!

Back at the OB's office, I was weighed and was a little shocked to find that I've gained another 7lbs in 3 weeks! That puts me at a total weight gain of 22lbs, but the OB and RN were happy, so I'm not worried. When I called my mother afterward, she seemed surprised in a bad way, though. She told me "the weight isn't just going to drop off after the baby is born". Thank you, I know this, but I don't care. I'm not gorging on food, this is just the weight I'm gaining! I am going to estimate around a total of 35lbs of weight gain by the end.

The OB gave me paperwork for another u/s! Talk about shocked! I asked him why, thinking there was something wrong, because I was told by my SIL that we would only have the two. He said they wanted to check the position and growth of the baby. I'm so excited to see our LO again! We'll totally be getting pictures again.

To wrap up (sorry for being long) around the 45 min mark of the glucose test I started feeling dizzy and sick...I didn't throw up, but it was not a good feeling. Now I just have to wait for the results and I go back for my next appt in 3 weeks. Time is flying!

Nursery Paint Treatment

DH and I are getting ready to put our nursery together. We have talked about it for a long time now and have mostly come to a decision, except for the paint treatment.

We both agree that we don't want to do a flat colour around the room and even have considered a chair rail.

We don't know the gender of our baby, so we thought of going with a light green. DH wants something sage-y, I want something more pastel-like.

Here is the bedding that we've chosen: Bunny Meadows

Here is the furniture that we've chosen:
Crib - Chelsea Crib
Changing Table -Emma Combo
Glider - Glider and Ottoman

We're also staining a wardrobe we have to match the rest of the furniture instead of getting another dresser for the room.

What do you think that we can do to the walls to dress it up a little bit more? Stripes? Mural? Thanks for the input!

6 month OB appointment

I had my 6 month appointment today...a week later than normal, but we were on vacation last week.

I cannot believe that in the last 4 weeks I've gained about 7 lbs! That's more or less what I've gained in the past 5 months before it. However, it felt good when the RN showed me my weight chart, wrote down the number and told me that I was doing a good job. I really like her...I should really find out what her name is!

The OB is pretty happy, too. Both he and the RN made comments on how I'm growing, mentioning that I wasn't out as much the last time I was in. Baby even gave the OB a hard time finding the heartbeat (again) because it was moving around so much!

I also asked my OB about the hip pain I've been having and the hemroids. The hip pain is normal, but I didn't think to ask him what to do about it. The hemroids he said are also normal, however he explained them better than any internet source I read. Most sources said it had to do with an influx of hormones. He said that the baby is resting on my intestines, which is pushing the tissues which cause the hemroids. As long as I don't overdo the activity (like I did in the garden on saturday), I should be able to cope.

Next appointment is in 3 weeks when I also have my 1 hour glucose test. I also got my registration package for the hospital. Apparently it takes 2-4 weeks to get a consulting nurse to contact me, so I'll start the calls now! I was also told that the hospital offers prenatal classes that are 9am to 4pm on a Saturday, but it costs $200. I think I'm going to find another resource. Any ideas?

All in all, everything is good with my active little baby!

On vacation!

Tomorrow morning DH and I are flying out to Florida! It's a combo vacation, babymoon, family wedding and 2nd anniversary trip for us. I have to admit that I can be a little bit nervous as a flier, but I'm praying for peace.

I don't know how many of you are also going on vacation soon, but I hope that you have safe travels and sunny skies!

Leaking and Allergies (not related)

*warning: this post may be a little TMI*

So I'm very aware by now that CM in pregnancy is different and happens a lot more. Does anyone else feel a little freaked out about how much it's changed?

On a related note, is anyone experiencing book leakage? The other night DH touched my chest and a few minutes later I noticed a wet spot on my t-shirt. I have no idea what it is and it was totally unexpected.

And now for the allergies portion. I have severe allergies to Birch, Oak and Willow trees (it sucks, really) which are in the high levels for pollen right now. I'm not having a severe reaction because I'm inside most of the time, but I am quite itchy.

I normally take Claritin for allergies because Benadryl makes me sleepy and I can't be doing that while at work. Does anyone know if their DR is OK with using this for allergies?

Back from month 5 OB appointment

Everything is good! The Dr said that the 20 week u/s came back normal and all my blood work and testing was normal, too. I asked about the Strep B test, but he said that they don't do it until week 35. Phew! We got to listen to the heartbeat although baby was hiding deep because it took a while for him to find it. I'm still in awe of that sound!

I've gained 5 pounds this month...I was surprised at that! That puts my total at 8 since my very first appointment.

I also got a chance to tell the DR that I'm having a UC flare. Luckily it's very mild by comparison, so it'll probably resolve itself. He also gave me the all clear to use a topical steroid cream for my excema.

All's well!

21 weeks baby belly!

This morning while getting ready for church, I snapped a picture of my baby belly. I have to admit that it looks a lot bigger in person than it does in the photo, but I won't complain!

So without further delay, here I am in my baby belly glory, half way through the pregnancy!

Truth to Old Wives Tales?

I was looking up old wives tales when it comes to guessing gender. I thought it would be interesting to see if any ladies (who know what gender they are having) can give credence to any of these.

Here goes:

1. Carrying high - it's a girl, carrying low - it's a boy
2. Mixing urine with Drano - blue/yellow, brown, black or blue and it's a boy; green/brown, green, blue or does change and it's a girl
3. Heartrates - over 140 and it's a girl, under 140 and it's a boy
4. Cravings - something sweet and it's a girl, something sour and it's a boy
5. If your husband gains weight, it's a girl and if not, it's a boy (LOL at this one)
6. if your face is round and rosy it's a girl
7. If your right breast is larger than the left, it's a boy
8. if you have acne during pregnancy, it's a girl

Any of these hold true or are they still all just as they say: old wives tales?

19 week u/s pictures

Today DH and I went for our 19 week u/s! The experience was much quicker than our first, but unfortunately not as "fun" as the first.

I was called in pretty quickly and didn't have to change into a gown. The u/s tech set about to work and had DH sit outside the examination room. He asked part of the way through if he could come in because last u/s he saw the whole process. The tech said no, and that he should wait until she finished with the measurements.

I was told that the baby was very active and amazingly saw the baby move on the monitor at the same time I felt a kick. That really confirmed for me that what I've been feeling really is baby movement and not just gas!

The measurements were done quickly and I was told that everything looked good. Baby even threw up a hand which looked like the "i love you" sign in sign-language. Then DH got to come in and she showed him the baby. I love the look on his face when he gets to see the LO growing inside me.

We got some pictures printed out and immediately had to share. So here is our little Baby Bee at 19 weeks!

Month 4 OB appointment

Well DH and I went in for my month 4 appointment today. I had a bunch of questions to ask and a lot of expectations. We chatted with the nurse, who is super nice and who also weighed me. I've gained 4 lbs in the past month and since I lost one the month before, +3 so far is doing ok.

When we were called into the room, I made DH come with me. I said to him "you can meet the doctor" and the nurse said "and hear the heartbeat". I was so stoked! FINALLY! He found it pretty quick, too. It was pretty incredible to hear and the doctor estimated it in the 140s because he didn't have an exact number. The blood work and 12wk u/s all were normal and I don't need an RH shot! Phew!

I was sent for a second round blood test and was given my form to get another u/s in two weeks. I'm SO excited for this one!

Needless to say, I'm very happy and so is DH. It's feeling more real every day!

Haven't heard the HB yet...

I was out with my two SIL's on saturday and we were talking about u/s. I told them that I hadn't heard the HB yet and they were both so shocked. Now I'm wondering why my OB hasn't done it yet.

Today I have my 4 month appointment, so I'm going to ask. The first time I saw him I was about 7 weeks and 12 weeks the second time. I had my first u/s after that appointment, so I'm wondering if he was waiting for that to be done before he did the doppler himself.

I just need some comfort here - has anyone else not heard baby's HB yet? Is it ok that I haven't yet?

"How far along are you?"

So the other day someone asked me how far along I am. I usually tell people in weeks, not months. It's partially because I know weeks is more accurate and most people don't realize that a pregnancy is 10 months, not 9.

That being said, I am 16 weeks, having completed my 4th month and started my 5th. Would you tell people that you are 4 or 5 months?

What do you tell people?

My belly finally popped!

So this past week I've gotten a few comments about my belly. It's officially popped! But now I'm a little paranoid. I am subconciously worrying about the size of my belly. This morning my manager told me that she didn't pop until she was 5 months. I know each pregnancy is different, but I'm having trouble not comparing. My SIL is due a week before me and she was really fit before she became PG and I only imagine that now she is barely showing while I'm getting rounder by the day.

How do I get it out of my mind that it's ok to have a big baby belly, especially so early on!

Week 12 U/S pictures

thought it about time to share our u/s pictures.

They are from March 2, so I am obviously a few weeks beyond that now. Everyone that has seen them has been impressed by how clear they are! Some have even speculated that it is a boy, however I really think that at this age, a baby boy wouldn't be that well endowed! lol!!

Month 3 OB appointment

So I had my appointments yesterday. Seeing the OB was super quick. They took me in right away and did all of the vital stuff. I have lost a pound since my last visit, but like the RN said "better now than later". I spoke briefly with my OB and then I was sent off for blood work.

Let me tell you, I have never had so much blood sucked out of me at once. 9 vials! NINE! But I had fun with the lab tech and we had a good chat, even though a fire alarm test was going at the time.

DH and I then had to travel across town to get to the u/s appointment. We got there 30mins early and a good thing, too! It was packed. I didn't get in for the u/s until after 5pm! Unfortunately for me, I had to pee so bad while I waited but I knew I had to hold it for a good test. And what a test we had!

Baby Bee was very active. S/He was moving and flipping and rolling the whole time. DH was amazed, and so was I. I can't believe that there is a little person inside of me!

The best part was getting the pictures. I asked for some and they told us there was a $10 fee. We didn't care. But, because we were there so late, when we went to pay a man at the desk said no one was there to take our money, so it was a gift to us! Sweet!

I will post the pics later, but we got some really great views. They did an internal and external u/s and the CRL was 65.3mm and the BPD was 20.6mm. It wasn't confirmed, but I think my EDD has been bumped up to Sept 10!

What to expect at OB appointment?

Today I have my second visit with my OB. At my first visit, he only did a pelvic exam and gave me a form to schedule a u/s. He said that blood work would be done at my second visit. So other than my blood work, what else should I expect at this visit? I know I'll do the routine pee in a cup, weigh-in and blood pressure check, but what is more or less standard at this point?

Also, DH and I will be going after my appt for our 1st u/s! It's done at a different building than where my OB is, so I'm hoping we have enough time to get there, but I'm definitely excited! The lab tech told me when I made my appointment to eat before I come and to bring a bottle of water. I thought that I needed to drink water before I went? Any thoughts? Are they going to have me sit in the waiting room and down a bottle of water before they take me in?

Lastly, how did you get your u/s pictures? My SIL got hers on a DVD and I know that others get them printed. They never said what I would get. What did you get?

In a minor car accident today...

This morning, on the way to work, DH and I were in a minor accident. We were rear-ended when we hit the breaks for the car in front of us. The car behind us, wasn't so fortunate to stop in time. We took some damage to the rear bumper, but it wasn't so bad. We experienced a thud and some surprise...it was the first accident for both of us.

DH is a little sore from the impact and I seem to be more or less fine. Some muscle soreness in my arms and upper back and some tiny twinges in my belly, but other than that, I'm ok.

When I told my mother what happend, she told me that I should see my doctor. I don't have the luxury of just calling to tell him, nor the time to take off work. I have told my boss that I might have to leave, however.

Should I go in for something so minor? Should I be seeing my family doctor or call my OB's office? I haven't had my first visit there, so I don't know what to do.

Advice and prayers, please! TIA!

Owie! DR appointment

This morning I went in for a physical with my family doctor. I haven't had one in almost two years, so it was about due.

It was actually a really quick check! He told me after that he wasn't going to do a PAP because it can cause bleeding and that was a serious issue with pregnant women. However, that didn't stop him from poking and prodding me in my abdomen! It was really uncomfortable...but I still hurt now! My lower back and belly are aching so bad that I want to take a Tylenol. I'm gonna go for a walk...so let's hope that works.

10 weeks!

I am officially 10 weeks today! My MIL asked my DH if anyone at church knew to which he only mentioned our BFF's. She was surprised! I hope to be able to hide this until after I have my u/s.

Speaking of u/s, it's driving me bonkers not knowing what's going on in there! Just a few more weeks, March 2 is coming soon...

First OB appointment today

So I met my OB today.

He seems like a very soft spoke, gentle doctor, but I had trouble figuring him out...I am going to chalk it up to the fact that his office was so busy.

It was an OK appt, considering I didn't have done what I thought would happen. They took my weight and blood pressure, then I went into a room to have my examination. He said that he wanted to wait 4 weeks to do the u/s and BW, but gave me the ultrasound paperwork so I could call in and schedule the appt.

So my next appt is March 2 when I get my BW done. It seems like forever away!

Blood test results!

I just called for my blood test results. It was positive (I could have told them that!) but my HCG level is at 13,404!

Now I'm just debating with myself when I tell my mom!

ETA: I told my mom on Thursday the 15th who was excited, surprised and had now shared the news with all my immediate family!

DR visit

So today I went in to see my family doctor about the PG. I was so nervous to talk to him! He has been my doctor since I was a little kid, so he's practically seen me grow up, but this was absolutely nerve wracking. Other than DH, he is the first person I've mentioned the PG to. It was such a relief to see how happy he was for me! I have never in all my years of seeing him have seen him so happy...and smiling!

So he's scheduled me to come in for a physical and gave me a referral for an OB at the nearby hospital.

I also got sent for my blood work, so I'll call in on Wednesday for the results...I still can't believe this is happening!

Got my BFP!

We have had our suspicions for weeks now, but I finally caved and took a HPT. It immediately came back positive! WOW I am floored that this is actually happening!

I tried to surprise DH with the news by putting the test on the toilet tank where I knew he would see, but he missed it! Instead, we were in the living room when I alluded to the news. He kinda gave me a confused look and said "you're pregnant?". It was priceless!

Oh, there is so much to be done now...I still can't believe it!
